What We're About

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide counseling by trained Senior Volunteers to older adults who may be experiencing difficulties coping with grief, loneliness, depression and/or the aging process.  Counselors foster self-esteem so that Seniors may better manage their lives.  Counselors help their peers develop strategies to enhance their sense of community and encourage them to become more active participants in that community.

Our Vision

Senior Peer Counseling is recognized and valued throughout our country as an accessible and vital link in fostering the mental health and well-being of our senior citizen poplulation.

Principles

Senior Peer Counseling is self-sufficient through grants and Community support.

Senior Peer Counseling puts the Client first, confidentiality is an imperative.

Senior Peer Counseling fosters personal growth in Clients and Counselors and interpersonal growth for the Client in the Community.
